Sir David Attenborough Frederick

Sir David Frederick Attenborough was born on May 8, 1926. He is an English television presenter , naturalist and natural historian . He is best known for writing and presenting the Collection of Life , a series of nine natural history documentaries that together form an extensive research into the life of plants and animals on Earth, in collaboration with the BBC Natural History Unit . He is the only human being which has won the British Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards for black and white , color , 3D , high definition and 4Kprograms. In 2018 and 2019 he won the Emmy Awards for High Viewership in the category of Outstanding Narrator . Attenborough is considered by many Britons as a national treasure of their country, although he does not prefer this term. In 2002, his name was included in the list of the 100 Best Britons after a BBC poll across the United Kingdom.



David Attenborough 's Instagram debut broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to reach 1 million followers and today has over 6 million followers. It took just 4 hours and 44 minutes to break Jennifer Anne's previous record .

"I am making this move to explore this new way of communicating, because, as we all know, people are having problems, " the 94-year-old Attenborough said in his first Instagram video. "The continents are burning . The glaciers are melting. Coral reefs are dying. Fish are disappearing from our oceans. The list goes on. He intends to use the platform to address these environmental crises and share possible solutions. Reaching a younger audience, he told the BBC , gives him "great hope". "I feel privileged to hear what an old guy like me says "Attenborough told the BBC .


Planet Earth , which debuted in 2006 with the Attenborough narrative, still holds the Guinness World Record for most on-demand documentary TV shows . Attenborough holds two more Guinness World Records for his longest career as a television presenter and his longest career as a television naturalist . In 2018 and 2019, he received the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Narrator .

His new documentary A Life on Our Planet debuted on Netflix on October 4. In the documentary, Attenborough recounts the natural wonders he has experienced in his career, the disaster he has seen at human hands and what can be done to repair the damage.

"Human beings have flooded the world. "This film is my testimony and my vision for the future," he said in the documentary trailer.
